The Biorobotics Lab at Free University Berlin is advancing the cross-pollination of robotics and biology. On the one hand, we use robots as tools in biology to understand more about biological systems. Ultimately, we strive to build smarter and more flexible robots that make use of nature’s principles (that we were able to understand better using robots in the first place). The lab is embedded in the Intelligent Systems and Robotics group at the Institute of Computer Science.  We are involved in highly interdisciplinary, cooperative projects across various domains.
